Before we touch a single Google Ads campaign or write a single blog post, every new med spa client goes through the same 27-point SEO audit. It's the same checklist every time, because the same gaps show up in almost every med spa website we look at. Here it is in full, so you can run it on your own site today.
1) Business name matches your storefront signage exactly, no keyword stuffing. 2) Primary category is set to the most specific accurate option (Medical Spa, not just Spa). 3) All service line items are populated with real procedure names. 4) At least 15 photos uploaded within the last 90 days. 5) Review count and velocity, are you getting new reviews weekly, not just at launch? 6) Q&A section seeded with real patient questions and answers. 7) Posts feature used at least weekly. 8) NAP (name, address, phone) is identical across your website, GBP, and every directory listing.
9) Each procedure has its own dedicated page, not a single "services" page listing everything. 10) Title tags include the procedure and city, not just the practice name. 11) Meta descriptions include a specific call to action. 12) Page load speed under 3 seconds on mobile. 13) Schema markup present: MedicalBusiness, FAQPage, and Review schema at minimum. 14) Internal links connect procedure pages to relevant blog content and vice versa. 15) Images have descriptive alt text, not "IMG_4821.jpg". 16) Mobile responsiveness, does the booking button stay visible and tappable on a phone screen? 17) SSL certificate active and no mixed-content warnings.
18) Before-and-after gallery present with genuine, recent patient results (with consent). 19) Provider bio pages include credentials, board certifications, and years of experience. 20) At least one blog post per procedure answering the top patient questions ("how long does it last," "does it hurt," "how much does it cost"). 21) FAQPage schema matches visible on-page FAQ content exactly, a mismatch here can actively hurt your eligibility for rich results. 22) Location pages exist for every city or neighborhood you actively want to draw patients from, not just your headquarters address. 23) Content is updated at least twice a year to keep pricing and procedure information current.
24) llms.txt file present at your domain root summarizing your services for AI crawlers. 25) Consistent NAP citations across at least 10 major directories (Healthgrades, RealSelf, Yelp, industry-specific directories). 26) Answer-first content structure, does each page open with a direct, quotable 40 to 60 word answer before going deeper? 27) Backlinks from at least a few real, relevant sources, local news, industry directories, guest posts, not just your own subsidiary pages linking to each other.
